I started working with Jon through my Missing Piece programme. He had his business, he was seeing a few clients but he wanted to see more, he’d tried some marketing but it wasn’t bringing him enough clients to fill his new full-time business. Here is what he had to say about the programme. I have to say that I have loved working with him and seeing the massive changes he’s created in his therapy business.
Well what can I say about Sarah and the missing piece programme? Well the first thing to say is Thank You. I qualified a couple of years ago as a hypnotherapist, for the first year I ran it as a part time business just weekends and evenings. In that time I had cards printed, I made up leaflets, I offered to help anyone with everything. Then I joined the missing piece. Sarah said we don’t need cards, no one reads our leaflets, they don’t care what initials you have after your name. All they want to know is what could I do for them. You know what, Sarah was right. I had the qualifications but I didn’t know how to market myself.
6 months after qualifying I joined the missing piece and it was at that point my business took a turn in the right direction. I sold ME! Not the qualification. I sold the benefit of what I could offer my clients and how it will improve their lives. All what I did in the first 6 month went out of the window. No leaflets, No ‘come to me I can help with everything’, no more pictures of stacked stones. Instead I followed Sarah’s advice and changed my marketing, I let my clients see the real me including my faults. My business took such a turn that I bit the bullet and went full time 2nd January 2018.
I haven’t looked back. I’m not saying it’s easy, it’s not. But I’ve been busy and I’ve been able to pay all my bills. In the quiet periods (and there will be many) I work on my marketing and my web presence all of which changed thanks to Sarah and the Missing Piece program. I’ve found my niche, my clients know who I am and what I can do for them, and as I face my second year I face it with excitement and I’m looking forward to the new challenges.
I want to thank Sarah and other members of the Missing Piece who have made this journey a most pleasurable one.
